Being a mom today is a balancing act. For many of us, it means managing a home or working a job and then racing to pick our kids up from school. It involves planning dinners on the fly while shopping for groceries. Putting out fires. Kissing boo-boos. Laying down the law on everything from chores to texting, and being there for soccer matches and spelling bees. Motherhood is the toughest and most rewarding role we’ll ever play. Which is why it’s important to remember to celebrate the victories or “wins” -- along the way. Sometimes these wins are big. But most of them are small -- tiny victories we don’t always take the time to celebrate. Like making dinner in 10 minutes flat. Finishing that paper-maché volcano project before the science fair. Or that out-of-the-blue hug from your three-year old at the end of a long day that tells you everything you need to know. Motherhood is made up of moments like these.
