Actor/director
Nasce a San Giorgio a Cremano, cittadina alle porte di Napoli, il 19 febbraio 1953. Il padre, Alfredo Troisi, è un macchinista ferroviario, mentre la madre, Elena Andinolfi, è casalinga. Cresce in una famiglia molto numerosa; abita infatti nella stessa casa con i genitori, cinque fratelli, due nonni, gli zii ed i loro cinque figli. Mentre studia per conseguire il diploma di geometra allIstituto Tecnico Commerciale e per Geometri Eugenio Pantaleo di Torre del Greco scrive alcune poesie in dialetto ispirate a Pasolini, il suo autore preferito, e inizia a recitare, dal 1969, nel teatro parrocchiale della Chiesa di SantAnna insieme ad alcuni amici dinfanzia (tra cui Lello Arena, Nico Mucci, Valeria Pezza). Nel 1972 gli viene diagnosticata unanomalia cardiaca che lo obbliga, nel 1976, a recarsi negli Stati Uniti per un intervento alla valvola mitralica; alle spese del viaggio contribuisce una colletta organizzata, tra gli altri, dal quotidiano di Napoli Il Mattino....view more
