Palibhasa Lalake (Just Because (Youre) A Man) is a now-defunct Comedy TV series in ABS-CBN which ran fron 1986 to 1998. It is a comedy TV sitcom. The show began in 1986 with a cast of seven, namely Joey Marquez, Richard Gomez, Gloria Romero, Cynthia Patag, Amy Perez, Carmina Villaroel (who then played Richards younger sister, Cathy, a streetsmart tomboyish kid from the province, and Apa Ongpin (who played the role of a rich Castilian hunky nerd). Over the years, many characters have come and gone (and stayed on), like Miguel Rodriguez (who played the role of another hunk whos always up to no good), the late Rene Requiestas (as Minervas genius brother whos never taken seriously), John Estrada (as Johnny, a dumb hunk whos favorite endeavor is to invent things that never succeeded anyway). Later additions to the family include the Gwapings, namely Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana, and Eric Fructuoso (who pay regular teenage rascals always on the lookout for girls).
