Our vision is a world without extreme poverty within a generation. The Global Poverty Project exists to increase the number and effectiveness of people taking action to end extreme poverty. We have developed 1.4 Billion Reasons, a simple yet ground-breaking presentation, that is travelling the world, inspiring and empowering audiences in its path. Based on leading research, the 90 minute presentation clearly articulates the facts of extreme poverty and demonstrates that by making simple changes everyone can be a part of the solution. Since being launched at the UN High Level Event on the MDGs in September 2008, the Global Poverty Project has: •tDeveloped the 1.4 Billion Reasons feature slideshow presentation to run between 45 and 90 minutes, in collaboration with a group of advisors. •tDelivered the presentation to more than 50,000 people in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA at more than 100 events since premiering on July 4, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. •tActivated more th...view more
