René Geronimo Favaloro |
Doctor
René Gerónimo Favaloro (*La Plata, 12 de julio de 1923 - † 29 de julio de 2000) fue un famoso cirujano torácico argentino, quien realizó el primer bypass aorto coronario en el mundo. Nació y se crió en el barrio “El Mondongo” de La Plata, Argentina. A pesar de haber tenido una infancia muy humilde, aprendió a amar el fútbol, y se hizo un hincha fanático del Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. René Favaloro siempre estuvo comprometido con el conocimiento, gracias en parte a su abuela materna, que le transmitió su amor por la naturaleza y la emoción al ver cuándo las semillas comenzaban a dar sus frutos. A ella le dedicaría su tesis del doctorado: A mi abuela Cesárea, que me enseñó a ver belleza hasta en una pobre rama seca. Realizo la primaria en la escuela Nº45 situada en la calle 68 y diag 73. En esta escuela se levanto un mural en su memoria y sobre la rambla del diagonal los vecinos plantaron un arbol e hicieron un homenaje con tablones pertenecientes a la cancha de su querido equipo.
