SINOPSIS UN POCO DE HISTORIA… LIMA, AÑOS SESENTA Juan Gonzáles Izquierdo, chofer de ómnibus, se enamoró de la chica más linda del barrio: Nelly Camacho. Pero, como suele suceder, las chicas lindas no le hacen caso a simples chóferes… Por esa razón Juan dejó el transporte público para dedicarse al transporte privado. De esta forma Juan llega a la casa de don Vittorio Maldini. Un acaudalado empresario que le cogió mucho aprecio a Juan. Para don Vittorio además de su chofer, Juan se convirtió en su confidente y amigo. Nelly y Juan se casaron en el verano de 1968… Y se fueron a vivir a la mansión de los Maldini en la avenida Salaverry!En esta casa nacieron los dos hijos de la pareja: José y Luis. (Pepe y Lucho) A falta de nietos hombres, el señor Maldini apadrinó a los hijos de Juan. Y aunque en sus primeros años Pepe se sentía como de la familia, el sentimiento se acabó cuando Francesca, la hija de Maldini se mudó a la casa con sus dos hijas.
