Em 1958, em São Paulo, Lucia Piva de Albuquerque fundou uma pequena, porém exclusiva e luxuosa butique. Era apenas o início do que é hoje o QG do Brazilian style e posto avançado das grifes internacionais no Brasil: a Daslu. Durante os anos 60 e 70, a Daslu dedicava-se a vender roupas e artigos de luxo da então incipiente indústria brasileira de moda. Mas os principais ingredientes que fizeram e fazem o sucesso Daslu já estavam lá: bom gosto, qualidade, exclusividade, atendimento personalizado e altíssimo astral em um ambiente único Eliana Piva de Albuquerque Tranchesi, filha de Lucia, assumiu o negócio da família no final da década de 70, mas o verdadeiro boom aconteceu no início dos anos 90, em meio a uma histórica crise no País. Recém-empossado, o presidente Fernando Collor, confiscou dinheiro de todos os brasileiros enquanto declarava que iria abrir o País para o mundo.
